At Donnergymnasiet in Gothenburg, we strive to create a high school experience filled with community, curiosity, and meaningful experiences. Our dedicated teachers provide students with the tools to grow, both academically and personally. The school, beautifully situated by the water in Eriksberg, has around 800 students and offers programs in economics, natural sciences, and social sciences. Additionally, both the natural sciences and social sciences programs can be combined with music! We are proud to have been named UF School of the Year 2024 – a testament to our passion for entrepreneurship. We are an independent school without religious or political affiliations, and there are no school fees.
At Donnergymnasiet, we have something called the ”Donner Structure”, which defines how our teaching is organized.
One day per week is free from scheduled lessons, with the intention that students organize their own study time. The school remains open as usual, with teachers available on-site, and students typically spend the entire lesson-free day at school.
The mentorship program provides all our students with support in the form of a trusted adult to whom they can turn with any thoughts or questions, without fear of judgement.
Learning is a process that takes time, which is why we primarily have longer lesson blocks where you get entire mornings or afternoons to focus on one subject. We have also streamlined the schedule so that you can avoid gaps between classes.

Donnergymnasiet is located in Eriksberg, Norra Älvstranden in Gothenburg. We have a pleasant, secure, and central location without being right in the city center, and public transportation connections are good with both boat and bus from all over the city.
From the Central Station, you can take bus 16 and 58, and from Frölunda Torg, you can take bus 99 to Sörhallstorget, which is the nearest bus stop. From Klippan and Stenpiren, you take the ferry to Eriksberg ferry terminal.
Our school are committed to supporting international educational cooperation, enabling our students to take part in an international project with partner schools, all over the world. We strongly believe this international exchange of knowledge and culture is an important part of our international social responsibility to increase and improve education for both our own students and students in our partner schools.
